LEYTON of LONDON

A CATALYST FOR CREATIVE MINDS

CASE STUDIES

A collated collection of collaborations, public art projects and physical installations.

SHORT CIRCUIT X BARBICAN

Independent Films in Unexpected Places. Together with the Barbican, Arts Council & Waltham Forest Council we curated the takeover of local disused spaces and thriving shops to display films by local artists. Connecting 5 independent filmmakers, 7 local businesses showing 1150 public screenings over 3 days.

UNDER THE BRIDGE

A public art project collaborating with Network Rail and Waltham Forest Council in Leytonstone. The installation of two billboards dedicated to public art turning a non-space of transients into a welcoming part of the town centre. Over 4 years the space has been home to locally produced artworks.

DAN DANS LDN

As part of a rebrand, we remodelled Dan Dan’s to become Dan Dan’s LDN. The shop was refitted, branding refreshed and variously applied to form a cohesive physical space which embodied the overall London to Jamaica concept. Original photography was produced and used on social media and the shops new website.

LEYTON CYCLE HANGER

The Leyton Cycle was a target for ASB - this stunning original artwork by Bille J acts as a deterrent and celebration of Leytons heritage and contemporary multi cultural community. Installed as solid print and transparent works, the windows act as stained glass windows.

HOME TEAM

With the support of the LOFC, supporters club and LOFC community and fans - we installed large format artworks in outside spaces and internal shops and businesses. Turning overlooked spaces in to destinations. The exhibition attracted over 7000 map visitors.

FRANK ISON SPACE

For three seasons at Frank Ison, we profiled and installed the artwork of local artists and creatives. These installations were accessible from outside, so the interior could continue to function as private studio space and the exhibition could be viewed and shared 24/7/365. Exhibition catalogues could be downloaded or ordered online.
